- The Convent Garden
The convent garden is a fine little geometrically laid out garden. It consists of a small atrium garden with aromatic roses and herbs. During spring the bulbs take over and during summer lots of annuals the beds reign.
- The Kings Garden
Kongens Have was laid out as a Baroque garden in the 1720s. Many changes have taken place since then but parts of the original garden can still be found.
Munke Mose Park
Munke Mose is mainly used for informal outdoor activities, although it is the venue for such traditional celebrations as the 1. May Workers Day and “Last day of school”.
It also has a very popular playground with large versions of birds, fish, water lilies, rushes and butterflies to play with.
Fish Ladder in Munke Mose
The Fish Ladder is located in Munke Mose. There it is also possible to rent a boat, go on a river cruise or use the playground.
Hans Christian Andersen’s Garden
(The Fairy Tale Garden)
The pergola, all the bridges and the “Chinese Wall” are designed and built to the highest standards, as befits a Town Hall garden. In 1949 the statue of Hans Christian Andersen was erected in the garden.
The Romantic Garden at Sanderumgaard
Located next to the main building of Sanderumgaard Manor House is the old romantic landscape garden, one of the first of its kind in Denmark, originally set up by Johan Bülow in the period 1793-1828.
