Experience an adventurous convention city

You will be staying in the native town of the world famous fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen.

Running around here in his wooden shoes he was inspired to many of his famous and beloved fairytales:

The Ugly Duckling, The Little Matchstick Girl, The Princess on the Pea, The Emperor’s New Clothes, The Steadfast Tin Soldier, The Tinder Box, and many more.

Visit the birth place and the museum of Hans Christian Andersen and take a stroll through town in his footsteps. See the sculptures illustrating scenes and characters from his fairytales.

We welcome you - also as tourists

When leaving the convention building you are in the middle of the city center with its old parts of town dating back to the days of Hans Christian Andersen and walking streets with a great number of shops, cafés, and restaurants, offering you almost everything whether you are looking for new or old articles, cheap or expensive.

You can’t miss our Flower Festival where the whole city is decorated with beautiful flowers.

Are you prepared for more, Odense can offer a wide range, whether you are interested in art, culture, history, adventure, technology or the zoo.

Have some extra holidays

The past is alive on Funen. More than 120 old castles and mansions are scattered all over the landscape of Funen expressing history and fairytale. Several of them are open for concerts, exhibitions, walks, culinary treats, and luxurious stays.

Experience the breath of history in one of the very old

churches of Odense, when we gather for a solemn service.

Extend your convention days with some extra holidays to have it all.

The following week you can join one of Denmark’s greatest cultural festivals: H.C. Andersen Festivals.
